Mexico Pics: Part Dos
I hope everyone had a good monday! It was so hard for me to get back into the groove of things at work today. Here are some beach and resort pictures:

There were always tons of birds on the pier. They would just swoop right down on top of each other like they were saying, "Outta my way."

Mexico Pics: Part 1
We took ALOT of pictures on our trip. I'll start with some pictures of Marcus and me and later this week I'll post some of the resort, beach, and other misc. stuff. If you just can't get enough of our pictures (haha), there will be even more on Facebook.

we're home
Marcus and I made it home from Mexico early this morning. The plan was to get home last night, but we had a delay and missed our connecting flight. The airline was very helpful and we got to spend a free night in Dallas, so it could have been alot worse.
We had the best time on our trip. The resort was amazing. It had a gorgeous beach, lots of food, and great service. Our room was really nice too. We took a trip to Tulum to see some Mayan ruins on Wednesday, went snorleking on Thursday, and I had a fantastic massage on Friday. Other than that we were just really really lazy. Our biggest decisions each day were which swimsuit to wear, whether to go to the pool or the beach, and what to eat. We also met some other couples who are around our age and it was fun to hang out with them after dinner. There were shows every night-some better than others. I'll put up pictures soon.

a great visit
My parents and brother came to visit this weekend. This was their first trip to tulsa. Marcus was in dallas for work, so I had them all to myself. I did miss Marcus though :). We had the best time and I think I seriously gained 5 pounds. I cooked johnny mozzetta (spelling?), a pasta dish that my grandmother makes for special occasions friday night and we played the wii fit and guitar hero. Yesterday we did some shopping and had another huge dinner at a local steak place. We went to church this morning and they just left a few minutes ago. It is always so sad when I leave their house or they leave here, because I know I won't see them again for a few months. When we lived in little rock, we saw them probably every 4-6 weeks. We are hoping to make a trip to arkansas in april. We have a sweet baby nephew, Asher, that we definitely need to go see! That's all for now, I have to get on the elliptical and try to burn off some of those calories!

a sad shopping trip (or 2)
Marcus and I are getting so excited about our anniversary trip. We leave 2 weeks from tomorrow. This week we went out in search of a few new clothes to take. The main things I wanted were a new swimsuit, 1 or 2 summery dresses, and maybe a new cover-up. We started at the mall. I even had a Dillards giftcard that my parents gave me for christmas. I found nothing! All the stores have summer stuff out, but there was nothing I liked. We went to Ross after that. It was my first trip to Ross and I did find a very cute ($15) dress there. The next night we went to DSW, Old Navy, and Target. That was my first trip to DSW too. Oh my goodness, they had so many great shoes. I didn't buy any, but Marcus did. I will definitely be going there more often. Off to old navy... again nothing I wanted. Same thing at Target. I keep looking at swimsuits and it seems like there aren't any for someone my age and size. They are all either for teenagers or grandmas or tiny people or really big people. I did find some shoes that would match my new dress at target, but they were out of my size. :( Oh well, I shouldn't complain. Hopefully I'll come across a swimsuit I like somewhere.

things that I thought were funny this week...
Everyday at work funny things happen, but I usually don't remember them long enough to tell anyone. Here are some things from this week and one from last.
-Last week I was looking over a case history for a three year old boy I was supposed to see. Under the "strengths" section, his mom had written "good ninja fighter".
-I tested a little boy (age 2) whose mom came to the evaluation room with him. He wasn't interested in any of the toys I had for him, so I asked his mom what he likes to play with at home and she said, "trucks, pillows, pens, and mostly my hair". He also points at things and clicks his tongue at different speeds to communicate. It was an interesting eval.
-Today I went to see a boy at a daycare and the first thing he said when he saw me was, "I batman, you batman girl." I am guessing that's a compliment?
-Wednesday I was using my GPS to do a drive-by of a daycare (making sure it's in a safe area before we send a therapist). Between the noise of the radio, the gps, and an animal toy making sounds in the backseat I had the thought that I now know how it feels to have serious psych problems!
